XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor – User Manual and Installation Guide

The XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor is a highly accurate and reliable sensor used for industrial process control in various industries, including petroleum, chemical, and metallurgy. In this article, we will provide a user manual and installation guide for the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor.

Overview

The XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor uses a high-performance silicon pressure-sensitive core and a special integrated circuit to convert millivolt signals into standard remote transmission current signals. The sensor can be directly connected to a computer interface card, control instrument, intelligent instrument, or PLC.

Wiring Definition

The XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor has a direct cable connector and a 2-wire current output. The wiring definition is as follows:

Red: V+

Green/blue: I out

Installation Method

When installing the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor, follow these guidelines:

Choose a location that is easy to operate and maintain.

Install the sensor as far away as possible from any sources of vibration or heat.

For immersion-type liquid level sensors, the metal probe should be immersed in the container’s bottom.

When placing the liquid level probe in water, fix it securely and keep it away from the inlet.

Safety Precautions

To ensure safe operation of the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor, follow these precautions:

Do not touch the isolation diaphragm in the transmitter’s pressure inlet with foreign objects.

Strictly follow the wiring method to avoid damaging the amplifier circuit.

Do not use wire ropes to lift any objects other than the product during the installation of cable-type liquid level sensors.

The wire is a specially designed waterproof wire. During installation and use, avoid wear, puncture, or scratches on the wire. If there is a risk of such damage to the wire, take protective measures during installation. For any faults caused by damaged wires, the manufacturer will charge an additional fee for repair.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance of the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor is essential to ensure accurate readings. Users must periodically clear the pressure inlet of the probe to avoid blockages. Use a soft brush or sponge with a non-corrosive cleaning solution to clean the probe carefully. Do not use sharp objects or high-pressure air (water) gun to clean the diaphragm.

Installation of Wiring End

When installing the wiring end of the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor, follow these guidelines:

Do not remove the waterproof and breathable polymer sieve on the customer’s wiring end to prevent damage to the wire’s waterproofing.

If the customer needs to connect the wire separately, take waterproof measures, such as sealing the junction box (as shown in Figure b). If there is no junction box or it is relatively simple, bend the wire downward during installation (as shown in Figure c) to prevent water ingress and avoid faults.

In conclusion, the XDB500 Liquid Level Sensor is a high-performance and reliable sensor widely used in various industries. By following the user manual and installation guide, users can ensure the safe operation and accurate readings of the sensor. If you encounter any problems during installation or use, please contact the manufacturer for assistance.
