Short Description:

This instrument is a primary instrument for measuring precipitation, and its performance meets the requirements of the national standard GB/T 21978.2-2014 “Precipitation Observation Requirements”. This instrument consists of a housing, a filter, a rain collector, a funnel, a tipping bucket, a wiring terminal, a leg bracket, a reed switch, a control box, a rain gauge base, etc. Among them, the tipping bucket shaft, a round water bubble, a reed switch bracket and a signal output terminal are installed on the rain gauge base. The tipping bucket, the core component of this instrument, adopts a three-dimensional streamlined design, which makes the tipping bucket turn over water more smoothly, and has the function of self-cleaning dust and easy cleaning. The pulse to 485 signal output can directly read the rainfall without secondary calculation, which is simple and convenient.

Outdoor installation and commissioning

Make the installation foundation

As shown in the figure: When installing on the outdoor ground and roof, the cement installation foundation should be made according to the dimensions and requirements of the diagram, and the upper surface of the cement foundation should be horizontal. The size of the cement installation foundation is generally a 40cm×40cm square base with a height of not less than 30cm or a circular base with a diameter of 40cm. The height of the instrument's rain receiving opening is required to be 70cm from the ground plane, and it is required that no shielding higher than the instrument's rain receiving opening is allowed within 3 to 5 meters around the instrument opening.

Install and fix the instrument and adjust the level of the rain receiving opening

According to the dimensions of Figure 3, make 3 φ10 installation holes with a depth of 8 to 10cm on the cement foundation, place the expansion bolts in the installation holes, lock them with locking nuts, and then install the instrument base on the 3 height-adjusting support nuts. By adjusting the height of the support nuts and measuring whether the ring opening is in a horizontal state with a level ruler, the instrument is finally fixed with a lock.

Indoor installation and debugging

As shown in the figure: Take out the pearl cotton block at the bottom of the instrument, and then install the matching block to the bottom of the instrument.
